Friday, July 22

**Family Meet and Greet**
7-9pm
Daddy D's Suber Soul Food Restaurant
411 7th Avenue in East Hendersonville
Cost: Approximately $20
(payment by cash, Venmo or CashApp)

In addition to having a delectable dinner buffet, we will have several icebreakers, and a review of what will take place on Saturday and Sunday.

Since Hendersonville is a tourist town, if you arrive early, you may want to ride around to take in some of the sights, i.e.
**Laurel Park
** Jump Off Rock (scenic views of the Blue Ridge Mtns and several hiking trails)
**The Historic Marker at 6th Avenue and Valley Street (which includes information about our granddaddy Neill)
** Oakdale Cemetery to the West of the Marker (Otis Sr. and Margaret Neill Cash, James, Sr. and Julia Cash, and many more family members are buried there.)
**Down from the cemetery is a Middle School which was once Ninth Avenue School—grades 1-12. Children from all around Hendersonville, Flat Rock, Tryon, Brevard (9-12th grades), Etowah, and Horseshoe were bussed to Ninth Avenue School.
**Also you don’t want to miss Looking Glass Falls which is in the Brevard/Pisgah Forest area, on Highway 276.
**If you have a sweet tooth, go to McFarland’s Bakery on Main Street in Hendersonville. In the good ol’ days, doughnuts were 60 cents a dozen. The doughnuts, cinnamon buns, lemon squares, cookies and pies are still delicious.
